Paulie

A funny, carefree and often choleric gangster who acts as soldato in the Salieri family where is the sidekick of Sam and later our main protagonist Tommy Angelo, with whom he completes countless different missions.

Paulie has no family. Later in the story, he confides in Tommy that he quite regrets it, that his life isn't worth much. He grew up on the street and worked hard for everything he has. Although he seems to be (and is) very loyal to his family, he also learns later that life in Salieri's gang annoys him and he would like to do something else. After the cigar-stealing fiasco in the chapter Just for Relaxation when the protagonists discover that Salieri is lying to them, decides to rob banking institution First National Bank, for which he also recruits Tommy. It is the bank robbery that happens in the finale for both of them fatal.
